Think Positive

It's the holiday week end....are you excited or dreading it.....are you worried about food, the picnics the BBQs, the high calorie foods that will be every where.....

Why not focus on the positive, think about all the healthy foods that you could eat, the fresh veggies, and fruits, the lean means that taste wonderful.....grill veggies and fruits are so tasty......have you ever had grill fresh pineapple, so very good, there are a huge amount of healthy foods, at first it take some effort but one you get to looking for them there are every where..like use sweet red, orange, and yellow pepper sliced in to scoop size and use for chips in your favorite low fat, low cal dips....grill chicken breast, or try some of the new chicken sausage links out there....most are good, and way lower in fat and sodium.....

next think of fun ways to get your exercise, think how much more you can do than maybe before, even getting out for a walk is great exercise, you don't have to spend endless hours either, a 10-20 minute walk can really make a difference, ask the kids to go , in my case grand kids, take the dog..hop on a bike .....dance to the radio as you cook, clean or doing dishes.....march while you brush your teeth, just get moving, find fun way to get in more activity...

So lets all have a positive healthy holiday week end and enjoy our selves...find time to relax too.....
