Beautiful summer weather today, so we went to another estate, Hardwick Hall. I'll tell you all about it, probably in August, complete with pix. Until then, however, July is blocked out for photo blogs.
Today also has two: the first is "A picture of you now," and the second is "A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without."
The first is the easy one; Himself took this today.
The second is a little trickier. There are very few people I know who I can imagine my life without. Whether we're talking about family, friends I haven't seen in years, people who have died, friends I talk to or see several times a week - how can I imagine my life without them? Everyone I've ever known has influenced my life to some extent.
I could do another picture of my kids, of Jane, of someone else, or of a whole group of friends. My parents, or grandparents, or cousins. My ex-husband - no matter how bitter I may be about him, he still was a presence in my life. Without him would have resulted in a very different path for me, in so many ways.
But we'll go a slightly happier route. While we were at Hardwick today, we came across a display - intended for kids - of medieval men's hats. So Himself cheerfully donned one. Truth be told, all I could envision was a Tudor mugshot. He said he was going for 'imperious.'
Nope, no way can I imagine my life without him, even though he was late to the game, lol.
Goodnight, Sparklers, wherever you are!
