Positive Week

Friday, July 15, 2011

This has been a very good week for me. I am eating a more balanced meals. There are times I am over on some items, like fat or protein, and under on carbs. I thought I ate alot of carbs, but not nearly enough. I weighed myself, and lost 4 lbs this week. I bought a car. It was fun to test drive, and haggle with the dealership about price, and interest rates. Overall a very good week. Looking forward to continuing it on into next week. Feel I do better if I don't get so caught up on the long term goals, and keep focused on short term. Hope everyone has a great weekend. It is supposed to be very warm and are having "Oregon Trail Days" here all weekend. Look forward to the parade as my 15 year old grandaughter is marching. Take care, Peg

Jill is right! You hit the jackpot with a 4 pound loss AND a new car, all at once. If you touch yourself, you must sizzle! Congratulations. I think what you said about the long term versus the short. If we take care of each day, the long run will become a natural occurrence!

    Have a great weekend, Peg,

I sure would feel good also with over a 4# WL and a new car--how fabulous this week has been for you!! You're right to focus more on the short term goals and slowly you are working toward the bigger ones. Enjoy the Parade and it'll be fun seeing your GD in it! Have a wonderful Weekend and keep up the positive attitude and great work!!

Hi, again, Peg. So glad you had a great week. It's a real motivator, don't you think? But, I'm with you on not getting so hung up on the long-range goals and seem to do much better if I don't. I have them out there, but the short and medium ones are the ones I have so much better luck with. Sounds like you do, too. Enjoy the parade AND the new car! Hope the heat isn't too oppresive for you. Jeannie
