It's been a long time since I last blogged. Just needed to acknowledge my tendency to eat when left to my own devices. Bob is playing euchre and the child in me immediately started proding me to fix chocolate chip cookies. Love to eat the dough even before they make it to the oven. No excuses ............I'm not hungry............have several projects that I could do that would occupy my time............just regressing to old habits and practices ...........or should I say thoughts TV is very boring this evening and our Cardinal baseball team is not doing well.

We have been busy here finishing up projects. Bob has planted a garden but it isn't doing well this year. First the rain that seemed would never stop and now the extremely high temperatures that is drying up the blackberries......we are getting some just not as many. Even the onions are drying up. Some green beans are coming on. We still don't have any tomatoes but it still has time............we'll see.

Haven't succumbed to temptation...................d
ishes are washed and the house is clean...........laundry done and put away................finished Robby's blankets he wanted........................
...green beans are snapped and washed................blackber
ries are washed and made a blackberry crisp..............I have clean sheets on my bed that smell of the sweet outside air even if it is hot. My yearly female tests came back normal and all my bloodwork etc. ...............pretty stress free...............a great husband............responsible children......God in my life that guides and protects me especially from myself.

Well better late than never that I get here... hehehe

    Hello Marie...
I sure have missed you too... I just noticed that I haven't blogged in a very very long time so while wondering around I happen upon your post... So thought I'd just stop and say hello. Sounds like you are doing fine and having problems with your garden. Well the same thing with us. We are finding that our dirt is just dead.(hahahaha) It's actually sand and no matter what Andy does to it he has the hardest time getting anything to grow. We did get a few strawberries this year which was nice... but that is about it. Our peppers are all gone and I just used up the last of them from the freezer. I had to go buy some today for the first time in about 4 years. hehehe Oh well gotta do what you gotta do. Right.
We tried growing tomatoes too but only got a couple tomatoes... so not sure what was up with that. We grew them in a big pot of good dirt... And I got one of them topsy tervy things and even tried that. hehehe

Well enough of all that... Sounds like you are doing well health wise. That is good to hear. I've just had to have 9 laser surgeries on my legs (veins) no fun... and I have 2 more to go.
I've put on more weight ugh... But still trying to eliminate it... I haven't given up. So that is a good thing. lol

    Positives...
    - We just got new laminate wood floors. I Love it!
    - Enjoying living a more peaceful life out here where we move a few years back.
    - A husband that works hard around that house keeping us going. Even with all the pain.
    - Friends that understand we when don't sty in tough as well as we should. hehehe

    Take care my friend...

    (((hugs)))

Oh and a big S*P*L*A*S*H cuz you've not had one in a while. hehehe

I've missed you! We have had almost none stop rain for since spring...in fact we really haven't had a summer yet. I did get my garden planted, it seems to be doing pretty good, but sure do need some sunshine to help it along. I'm hoping to get a good crop of tomatoes. Lots of flowers on them, so we will see. My potatoes are doing fantastic. I've planted even more in pots this year and they are enjoying all the moisture. Carrots, peas, beets, pickling onions, eggplant, watermelon, zucchini and celery this year. Even managed to get two apple trees and a pear tree. Garry and Quin built me 3 raised garden beds this spring and we are hoping to get a green house up before winter too. Yep, I've got the gardening bug.

Hope you are still resisting the cookie dough *grin*

    Hugs,
    Wanda
