This past month has been crazy. I have been so busy with getting ready for my daughter's wedding. We had the rehearsal Friday and then the dinner. At dinner we had 35 people there. I was so busy talking that I only ate 6 tiny bites. I did not want to have a problem, so I was very focused on chewing.
Saturday was so busy. I started the day off with taking my husband's brother and his fiancée to a WL Support Group meeting. Then it was running all over doing last minute things for my daughter. I was driving my daughter from her hotel to the park when we saw lightening to the north. She got so worked up, but I was able to get her to see that it was far enough north. The wedding was at 6:30pm, and we pulled up at 6:34pm. Such perfect timing. But also, as we pull up, so does the high winds. But it only lasted for a minute, no rain. We got out and got things started.
It was an outdoor wedding, in the Rose Garden. Samantha was the most beautiful bride. She made her sister 'Junior Bride' and Lynae was so proud (and beautiful). 'Cocktail hour' was snowcones, since it was 100+ degrees out. And just as everyone was headed inside, the heavens opened. But we didn't let that get us down. We had a great time and everything went smoothly.
Sunday morning we gathered everyone again for a breakfast for the new couple. So up early and go, go, go. It was raining again, but we didn't care. We had a great time. The couple opened gifts and visited with everyone.
So with the crazy month and more crazy weekend, I was worried about my appt this morning. I wanted to step on the scale, but I didn't. I made my husband go first... He lost 7 pounds in that crazy month.. So now I was really worried... I just wished for staying at the same weight or a 1 pound lose, I didn't want to see a gain. I stepped up and at first all I saw was the number 8. So I had to focus and look more carefully... 187... Is that what I saw? It was. I was so excited, it wasn't the 7 my husband had lost, but it was a loss and that was awesome to me.
So a great wedding weekend & a great doctor's appt. I am so close to my first goal, which is getting halfway to my BIG goal! What more could I ask for?
