Nice Weather.

Monday, August 15, 2011

It was in the 50's this morning!

I slept fairly well again last night. I got up a 5:45, made breakfast and lunch, fed the other chinchillas and Reek, spot cleaned the cages, made a grocery list, swept the floors, got my son up, and went to town to do my errands.

I stopped at the post office and my GF told me that her son's fiancee had died on Saturday. She had non-Hodgkin lymphoma and has been doing really bad. Today would have been her 24th birthday. So sad.

I went to the newspaper office, bank. Aldis, Wal-mart, and Kroger. Came home at 12:30 and had to put it all up before I had lunch. I then had my outdoor chores to do.

Hubby and I went for walk when we got home and got into a ton of tiny little deer ticks so we had to come in and take a shower.

We got Reek and Porkie out and gave then snacks. We have been watching Dual Survivor which we both like.

We can not even walk out back now, because of the deer ticks. Everyone in my family has at some time had the bullseye and had to do the antibiotics. Just been walking the beach and waiting for the cold to come so we can get back in the woods.
So sorry about that young girl, what heartbreak.

I am sorry to hear about the young lady's passing Mortica. Give your GF and her son my condolences.

Yes, can you really shower off ticks, especially the deer ticks when they are really that small?

As for me, I have heard of "Dual Survivor" but have yet to watch it. On DirecTv, I ended up watching the 1923 and 1925 old silent movies with Lon Chaney in them. The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera. (I came in on the tail end of the first and watched first part of the 2nd and then went to bed.) Can't believe the movies are 90 years old! And still around!

And I am glad that cooler weather is around for you. emoticon

I remember you speaking of her before; so sad. Only 23 / almost 24.

    Ticks, yucko!!

Since I don't watch TV except on Hulu.com, I haven't heard of Dual Survivor. I'll look for it.

You did have great weather- got back from Chicago last night and certainly miss the cooler temps!

Really sad when someone so young dies - seems they are certainly taken too soon. Hard to grasp or understand.
