Blog #26 - a BEAR!

Yes, I said bear and I'm not making excuses. We are vacation in the northern parts of BC (Canada) and there are reports of bear sightings around town. This isn't abnormal as last year there were MANY! My friend says that last year there were no less than 10 bears, including, 3 (a mama and her 2 cubs) that came into her yard. So, my mother in law has a treadmill in her basement that I may try.

In other news, yesterday was the longest day ever. My bff and I left this town at 8:30 to get into the city for an 11am appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses. At the first shop I tried on no less than 10 dresses. I was terrified for this part of the process. G talked me up before I left Calgary about how I was over thinking it and would look amazing.

Well of course most dresses were size 6-8 but I tried them on for my bff cause its her wedding and I want to do my part and making it her dream. We narrowed it down to 2 dresses at the first store. Luckily they let us take pictures.

The second store had a lot more sizes and we narrowed it down to 2 dresses there. Overall, I let her take pictures of me in dresses where I felt terrible because it made her happy. There were some dresses that I loved (the 4) and I'm waiting to hear her selection.

I know its been a while since I blogged and I have been feeling down and stuck on this plateau. Things are getting better and my goal is only to not GAIN on this trip.

Bears are definitely a good reason not to be running. I work in Fort Mac and we have tons of black bears in the area. I don't run outside either. lol

Bridesmaid dress shopping should be considered it's own level of h.e.l.l. as far as I'm concerned.

omg bear. Scary. Treadmills are awesome, though. I am sure you looked better in those dresses than you give yourself credit for... you are a great friend.
