Remember

Ten years ago our lives changed. I doubt there is a person alive, age 15 or older, who does not have a vivid recollection of where she or he was ten years ago today.
I am saddened that we all lost our innocence. I am saddened that we lost our loved ones. I am saddened that we lost some of our freedoms.
But I am so utterly proud of the people of our country as well as our supporters around the world who have taken a stand to say we must not treat each other like this. As a world, we took a stand against hatred, violence and terrorism.
Here's to the day we can can live again without fear. But we will always remember.
