going over my progress

Sunday, September 25, 2011

I was having some trouble getting to sleep last night so I was reading my spark page, now that was some interesting info.....I started Spark people back in 2006 at the weight of 347 pounds....lots of weight and was trying to just loose 20 pounds... any way as most know I lost about 210 pounds and have maintained for it for nearly 2 years now, staying in a weight range of 140-145.....a healthy weight for me.....
anyway what I found was encouraging and motivating (as there are time I forget my journey and my progress). So I am going to share this time line I found on my spark page ...

May 2006 ....weight 347 pounds..... emoticon

May 2007....weight 253 pounds...lost 94 pounds emoticon

May 2008...weight 207 pounds....lost 140 pounds emoticon

May 2009 ...weight 172 pounds ..lost 175 pounds emoticon

Dec.2009..weight 144 pounds lost...2003 pounds emoticon

May 2010 ...weight 140 (for a few days I was 138)

May of 2011..140 pounds...... emoticon

It looks like I have maintained my weight loss for almost 2 years but have maintained a 100 pound loss since 2007......wow when faced with these facts it is over whelming for me ......this morning as I walk my 3 miles I will be singing the praises of Sparkpeople, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for all my wonderful Sparkfriends and family who gave me courage to do what most said was impossible.....if your struggling today remember we all struggle but if you truly want to loose the weight it can be done....I am no super human, it is a one day at a time struggle but you can do it.....
so think positive, be good to yourself and never ever give up.....

did not get to reread this hope it sounds okay

Have a Healthy Sunday

ps, I'm adding this much later......I wanted to share this with people who get discouraged after a while when they don't loose the weight fast enough or as soon as they would like.....it took me 3.5 years to get the weight off, but I did do it and that's what matters.....also the first 100 pounds made a huge difference to my life and my healthy......I will never be a beauty queen but I can boast about being healthy and at 58 very soon to be 59 I take NO medications ...I do take a vitamin each day..

so don't let time tear you down.....each day each ounce does add up......
