Happy October My Spark Friends

I had notes all written for a blog on goals when I remembered a sign I had read yesterday so decided to hold off on goal setting blog.

The sign read something like this - worrying about getting fitness in does not burn calories.

Are you a worrier with no action - October is a new month and perfect time to start afresh with small doable goals and if needed an attitude adjustment.

Let's get excited.

I was going to skip October's Calendar on 31 days to healthier kids and then I got to thinking that just maybe there was something I could learn from this ( my little attempt at my own attitude adjustment).

upbeat attitude.
Healthy habits should
be fun. If you're having
a good time, your kids
will also look forward
to nutrition and
fitness instead of
dreading it.

I want to be like a kid, in fact I want a childlike spirit.

    Beautifully worded blog - nancy you are my insoriation for the day - have a child like spirit!! WIll be good for me to rememeber as I approach a sad job of dealing with phot albums of our daughter's that were damaged in home fire this weekend - will try to rememeber - what would a kid do and think about each photo saved or lost!! Thanks for being such an uplifter of my soul! emoticon

    I love this "I want to be like a kid, in fact I want a childlike spirit."
    My attitude is childlike being with my granddaughter daily. She shows me how to relax. She also watches my strength exercises and my walking. She does them with me. They learn what we do daily.

    Hi Nancy
    Great blog. I agree with your thoughts, we certainly need to set goals and as you say doable ones. However, when it comes to attitude, it becomes the difference in obtaining or failing to reach our goals. I haven't printed the October calendar, but I am going to guess as the first day indicates, if we could act more childlike we might be more successful. I might suggest that we go to the secrets of the success early in the day and read several of the ideas. It could be a great start for the day.
