Trying to Get Caught Up

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

It's been cold in the morning but it warms up a lot and is actually a little warmer than I like right now at this time of year. I was enjoying the upper 60s and 70s. LOL. I don't want to have to put the air conditioner back on. I'm trying to save money. At least it has been sunny though and dry.

Yesterday I got dressed, made breakfast, fed Reek, made my grocery list, got bills ready, made lunch for later, and then went town to shop and do errands. I went to the post office, water office, state farm, newspaper office, bank, pet store, Aldis, Wal-mart, and Kroger. Came home and put it all away, ate lunch, and made supper.

Aldis had wonderful produce and I stocked up. The checker I go to always comments that I am the healthiest shopper she encounters.

I am learning to eat bananas. My M.D. has always wanted me to eat one a day but I've never liked them. I hate the texture. I freeze them first and eat them that way. I have learned to like to eat other things this way.

I put out cantaloupe today and a turtle came but I missed him/her. Grrrr!!

My pedometer battery went out to today and my son had to help me get it going before he went to work. Tonight we had to help my husband send some letters to my MIL's creditors and the two attorneys.

Hubby and I are going on long walks every day now while we can. Once DST is gone it will be almost dark when he gets home from work.

I apologize to all my friends as I am so far behind on answering emails and posts and am still catching up on adding all the new friends I have gotten in the past few days.

I've been putting frozen bananas in my smoothies. I don't really like them either. Just curious, why does your M.D. want you to eat bananas? I eat them because they are very filling and they make a great smoothie.

Again another busy day for Morticia.
Must make you feel good that the cashier at
Aldi notices a healthy shopper and acknowledges
you. Glad you are still able to get walks in with hubby.

Busy lady! I LOVE bananas and have one every day. I also love frozen grapes. I might have to try a frozen banana some day. I'm tempted to dip it in chocolate, but I might have to make myself give it a try plain first.

    M. I had a problem with bananas "Nanas" emoticon and I have always loved their flavor, I always got heart burn from eating them. I remember eating them first as a child and they gave me bellyache so I cook my bananas now.
    "Nanas" emoticon

No heart burn this way. I eat 2 a day and my horrific muscle cramps are a thing of the past. Every day I eat blueberries or"Nanas" emoticon in cooked oat bran. It used to be oatmeal but now I use bran exclusively."Nanas" emoticon "Nanas" emoticon
I will Goodie the information this will get lengthy. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon and my "Nanas" emoticon

You've been very busy. I have allergy problems with bananas, but I love them. I throw them in my morning smoothies or banana muffins.

I eat a banana every day, half for breakfast and half for lunch--of course saving a bite from each half for Lola, my school bunny. She loves bananas and virtually every fruit and veggie I eat. I don't give her grapes because I don't know if they are safe for her--they are so dangerous for dogs. I love watermelon and she does too--whenever I have it, I eat it and share a chunk of two with Lola. She comes over and eats it out of my hand, messy but sweet and fun. I don't care for cantaloupe, it always tastes kind of salty to me, but I love most other fruits so Lola gets a nice treat each day. (I bring her home from school on the weekends, so she never gets left out.)
Take care--and maybe those "nanas" will grow on you!!
    Gentle hugs,

What else do you eat frozen? I've heard of bananas (which I also like frozen) and grapes....I am not a fan of cantaloup and stuff like that frozen. Maybe you can give me some ideas!
