Work out...or Maintain Hairdo?

My gym workouts are usually around 5am. I'm trying to get the workouts in before work. I am entirely in the raw when I attend...NO makeup, NO cute hairdos. RAW!! and boy am I a sweater!! Some days I'm dripping with sweat.

For the past two months, my hair has been (as my daughter puts it) JACKED UP! I've been sporting the pony tails, hair bands, you name it. I truly miss styling my hair. This is an issue for most African American women. I've tried the weave styles, but its kind of hard to maintain, and too hot to deal with.

Choices, choices, choices...I've made the choice to workout out! I'd rather have a not so cute hairdo, than skip getting healthy and fit. My hair was one of the many excuses that prevented me from living a healthy lifestyle. I don't want to go into my 50's overweight.

Some people manage their hairstyles well and are able to workout and keep it moving...not old Pam :) I really want the best of both worlds, but I'm such a sweater!

This subject may not actually be viewed as important, but it's pretty important to me.

I wish working out wasn't so hard on my hair. Will I stop working out?....NOPE!
