Waiting For "Big Momma."
Saturday, November 05, 2011
I am anxiously waiting for the arrival of "Big Momma." If any of you are familiar with fellow-Sparker, MsEleni, and read her blogs, you are familiar with "Big Momma." For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting MsEleni or seeing the pictures of "Big Momma", let me inform you that "Big Momma" is the MOST BEAUTIFUL Orchid ever!!!!! I LOVE Orchids, but have not had any luck with keeping them alive for very long. I have probably had 9 Orchids over the past few years and I have had a couple that have re-bloomed, but after the second bloom, I lost them!!! Eleni has graciously offered to send me a piece of "Big Momma". She is supposed to arrive today. I live in Wisconsin, so I am very closely watching my rural mailbox, as I don't want her to "Catch a Chill." I have the soil warming on my dining room table (it was in our very cool garage) and the pot has been washed and is ready whenever she gets here.
By this time, those of you who do NOT garden or have houseplants, have written me off as "Having gone over the Edge." That's OK........I like it there.
This is Day 5 of Doing What Works For Me (see former blogs), but I am NOT getting involved in my painting project today because we are going to a Concert tonight and have to be on our way by 4PM. Sparking and "Big Momma" are my priorities before we leave.
Have a great Saturday.
