Taking a 4.5 mile walk with the dog down a new beautiful fall path Sunday helped me get back into it. Also, I've been very depressed and know that exercise and eating healthy do make me feel better and I need to focus on that. Yesterday I got my bands out and did a full body strength training workout and then rode my bike to work for the first time in months. I'm quite sore this morning which means I did work my body harder :)
I am getting back into the calorie cycling that my friend taught me in 2008. Luckily my plan is still on my front spark page. I went through my notes on my nutrition logs and tagged every day what calorie number i need to hit around for each day this week to help me stay focused. i also will tag below it what i actually ate and what the difference was.
Even though I have been walking a lot, without the bike riding, i have not been working my heart out at ALL and I really need to keep my heart healthy. I need to add jogging with Lucy or figure out a way to ride my bike and/or sign back up for the gym at work. I have trouble getting away to a gym or bike riding because Brett's not here to help with the dog who has bad separation anxiety. So it's a challenge to do anything without her. but i will think about ways i can get my heart rate up WITH Lucy. at least till Brett gets back.
I won't hit my 135 goal by Dec 19th (my birthday) but I am hoping to at least get in the 140's if not by 145 which is about 10 lbs away. the 140s are about 6 lbs away.
Right now, I need to just focus on logging every day and staying in my calorie range. First goal is to get consistant again.
