Baby pics

Well, I finally have a few moments to provide an update w/ a few baby pics.

As I mentioned in my previous blog my little boy has to stay in the hospital to gain some energy and learn how to take his bottle. It has been over 2 weeks now and it looks like it will be yet another week before we can take him home. This has been the hardest time of my life, I must admit. My days are usually spent at home with my baby girl and nights with my baby boy. It is hard to see leave him every night not knowing when we can take him with us.

My little girl Lilly is doing very well. She takes her feedings with vigor every time. Her only complaint has been a little constipation and gas. Phew! Who knew such a small package could put out such a smell!

I am also getting by. My incision is healing well, my iron levels are coming back and my swelling is about half what it used to be. Unfortunately my milk supply is not coming in and I am wondering if it ever will. Currently I am slave to a pump every 3 hours or so - it is so tiring!

But here are some pictures... I will post again some time soon .. hopefully when I have some good news.

They are beautiful. Hope little Ross will be home soon. When I was born 46 years ago I was 2 months premature. ! was about 4 lbs and then lost a bit but 16 inches long. I was in the hospital for over a month before my parents could take me home. My Mom went to the hospital every morning to watch over me and learn from the nurses and then my Dad would meet her there after work. She said it was a very difficult time but felt great comfort with the nurses that were caring for me. She says she became very close with some of them and could call at anytime of the night to check on me. As the story goes, my Mom said the nurses taped some quarters to the bottom of my feet then put socks on me so that I would be at the weight needed for the Dr to allow me to go home. She laughs , cries or both every time she tells me the story. These are happy memories now for her and the pain of being separated from me has dissolved.
I will be thinking of you and your new family and pray that you are all together soon.
