My Mini-Goal November 22, 2011

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Hello. In my blog dated November 1st, I stated that I gave myself until Thanksgiving to lose 10 lbs to meet my mini-goal. I actually have it written on my calendar for next Tuesday, November 29th. I chose Tuesday because that's when I go to my weekly WW meeting. I believe I will meet this goal because I lost a whopping 6 lbs this week, after losing only .2 lbs last week. I knew it would eventually catch up. I made my first 10% goal this morning. My second 10% goal is 36 lbs, of which I've already lost 2.4 lbs of. I amazed myself! I have consistently lost weight for the last 4 weeks. I am a yo-yo dieter (I hate that word) and continually go up one week and down the next. I decided to get serious with the edema in my legs and I watch the salt content carefully. I have cut the salt in half in my cooking and the edema has gotten better. My left leg looks almost the same size as my right, where as before it was twice the size.

I have tried to spread the word about SparkPeople to a couple of women at my meetings. I don't think they are interested. I mentioned it again today to one woman and she asked me what exactly is SparkPeople. I told her it's very motivational and empowering. I still don't think she will try it out. All these people on SparkPeople can't be wrong. It works! But only if you work. Too many people want to the reap the rewards but put forth minimal to no work. You get back what you put into it. Simple as that.

Have a great Thanksgiving! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks. I love WW! I could probably do it on my own, but I enjoy the meetings and I really like my leader. Have a great holiday! emoticon

Nice job on meeting your mini-goal! Did WW for years then I switched to WW online, until I discovered I could do essentially the same thing here on Spark for FREE!
