oh no....I have not recovered

I have got to get it together. The scales are showing a 5 pound gain and that is probably about right, as I have been eating sooooo badly. I really need to get back on track and I feel like I have not learned anything in almost two years. Thanksgiving, today was a birthday party and now the CHristmas season.

I bought a new pedometer and it isn't working (maybe I operater error.I must read up on it sme more).

I don't want to continue this.. why do I feel so helpless?


8 fruits and veggies daily
3 proteins
whole grains
low fat dairy/almond milk

exercise 5 days a week

limit treats to the parties only..and then only in calorie range.

And lots and lots of prayer. I can't do this alone.

    I'm two pounds over my goal right now whereas I've been running at least 3 lbs below. It's frustrating to have the feeling that you are losing control after a long time of being in charge of what goes in your mouth. I think if we can just look back and reflect on where we were a year ago and not let guilt feelings defeat us, we will be okay! I've rejoined the 5% challenge (Winter) which I think will be helpful. Supportive, friendly smaller groups with weekly challenges. Strongly recommend you consider joining. It's not too late I think.

    I just got back home and haven't stepped on the scale yet, but I'm afraid of what it will show. I, too, feel that the initial dedication and will power has lessened, and I ate way too much of way too many things. I agree with you that we really can't do this alone, and I hope that all of our friends here will be enough to get us all back on track during this difficult month. I'm going to get back to healthy choices and daily exercise. I'm also going to try the ten minutes of positive motivation, remembering the positive comments and feeling of success. We can do this!!
