Other than choosing a light, healthy breakfast I didn't think about food today much at all.
Me and hubby, daughter, son-in-law and their two little girls invaded my mom's house and when we left, Christmas had arrived. Christmas tree up and sparkling, window decorations done, front door covered with festive paper and a beautiful wreath on the inside of the front door so she can see and enjoy it every day.
Finger foods are usually a part of this event so we baked little franks in rolls and chicken and cheese quesadillas. There were several kinds of chips, pepperonis and cheese for on crackers. With the hours it took to pull all of the boxes out of storage, decorate and then put the boxes back, I was on my feet most of the day. I didn't have time to graze on snacks but honestly, I simply didn't think about it, which is a great thing! I had a few nibbles here and there and went home without feeling any guilt about that handful of chips or the chicken quesadilla I ate.
And that's the way I want it to be.
