New Year's Ramble

Thursday, December 29, 2011

I needed to write this blog. I am not a very good nor interesting blogger, but I guess I use it as a journal with feedback, which I always find encouraging.

I have always loved resolutions...even kept a few very challenging ones. The trouble I see with that now is, not in the resolution, or keeping it, but in the fact that it seems to give me permission to end it the following new year.

This year I am thinking more in the New Years Goals sort of way. I am working on the specifics of that but here are a few of the generalizations.

1. get back to my goal weight (5 lbs lost) by the end of January by reviving my tracking and sparking.

2. Set some new goals, particularly streaks. since my weight loss is not something I need to continue after Jan. Possibly in cooking. I want to become a better cook.

3. Seeking balance of mind body heart and spirit.I will do this through Firstplace4health Bible study that I am going to be leading in January.

4. Maintain the weightloss through the end of the year.

What are some of your goals/resolutions for 2012?

    1. Lose my 4 pounds I gained since Thanksgiving and continue to lose to meet my goal.
    2. Continue Bible reading/study daily.
    3. Take a dog agility class.
    4. Memorize 1 verse of scripture monthly.
    5. Develop better home-making habits. (I have a list.)
