5k road to success

So today completes week one of the 5k Challenge. In addition to the 5 k I have been walking 20 - 60 additional minutes each day to help increase my cardio. The 20 min this week have gone well except today I think I need to walk faster during my 4 min walking portion. I have developed a pain on the top of my right foot but not enough to slow me down, I will continue to monitor. Still tracking my food everyday. Need to find a streching routine to get into before my runs.
On a side note dropped into the 260s yesterday. My wife and I went to dinner and I decided to reward my efforts with a 6 oz filet and lobster tail. The filet was horrible it was like shoe leather. Thank you Outback for ruining my one pleasure this month.
