Smile and the world smiles with you...

Friday, January 13, 2012

While walking down the hall at work one day, I met an office manager who asked me why I was always smiling. I simply answered, "It's my preference over the alternative."

Now, whenever we meet in passing, he can't help but smile at me! A couple of times he has tried to hold it back, but the smile always breaks through!

Give it a try. Some people will meet you in the hall and notmake eye contact, so you may have to give them a vocal greeting to get them to look. Just a simple "good morning" or "How you doing?" should do it.

I was told that when I retire I would make a good Walmart greeter.

My reply? "Thanks!"

So true! I like this old saying, too: "Smile--it makes people wonder what you've been up to!" A smile costs us nothing and means so much--just a great way to let the sunshine out! Keep on smiling!! Jeannie

It is difficult to find people who smile and who are fun to work/live with. People around you are so lucky! My daughter is a lot of fun. I am lucky to have her. She would come home from school singing, full of energy. She does not let her mood be altered by the negativity around her. She does it automatically, even though she is only an 8-year-old. Incredible personality!

It's great that you smile a lot so must be happy inside. It's amazing how good you feel when someone smiles at you. I've read it's even good exercise for our face muscles. Smile all you want as it's usually contagious and reflects how you feel inside. WTG!
