HAPPY DAY 3 OF VALENTINES' MONTH CELEBRATION!!!! & Happy Fun Friday!!!

Did you buy yourself flowers yesterday? Do you have anything fun planned for today?

Now I am going to throw out a VALENTINES' MONTH CELEBRATION challenge, however, it is only if you feel that you can do this in a way that feels safe and not too scary and will not cause any problems with your health if you are on a medically prescribed diet, wow a lot of lead up for "BUY YOURSELF A CANDY BAR" .

Treat yourself to your favorite candy bar, not a bag full of candy bars, not a "King Size" candy bar , not a "Bite Size" candy bar, simply a regular sized candy bar. If you accept this challenge, try to buy your favorite, do not eat it on the run, while standing up, or in a rush. Sit down, and really taste it.

Do you like the way it tastes, as much as you thought you did? If so, really allow yourself to taste and eat it without feeling guilty.

How many times have you told someone, don"t buy me any candy, I can't have candy, candy is the devil in disguise (or something like that) ? How many times did you want to get a candy heart for Valentines" Day, but you were afraid you would eat all the candy in the first 5 minutes of receiving it, and get fat?

HELLO, EATING TOO MUCH CANDY FOR VALENTINES, IN AND OF ITSELF DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT (BY THE WAY TRY NOT TO USE THAT 3 LETTER F WORD) What makes you gain weight is overeating constantly!!!!!

That being said, what if you were not afraid of candy anymore? What if you allowed yourself to have it, without guilt , once in a while, or for that matter how ever often you felt comfortable, in reasonable portions? I have found that the more I have allowed myself to eat candy the less I have wanted it.

Now if you are comfortable with yourself, your food, and your body, and you do not eat candy, do not do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. But for those of you who are constantly swearing off candy and then binging on it, consider, just consider, that eating it more often in small amounts, you might just lose the urge to binge on it!!!! Hmmmmmmmm "what candy bar should I buy?" Karen Cigna

The problem is not the binging it is losing control. Once I allow myself the luxury of a candy bar sometimes it will mess with my control for the remainder of the day. A 200 calories candy bar, plus a flavored coffee from the coffee shop, plus this or that adds up the a 1/3 of my day of empty calories and not nutritional value. I just had a candy bar at my desk it was good but totally not worth the guilt or the mental undermining of my trying to get back on track.
