37 Weeks...20 days to go!

Wow, time flies when I'm expecting! I am sad now that I didn't blog a little more to capture more memories...but I know the best memories are going to come once our Baby Boy is out of my belly and in our arms!
After the 35 week U/S, looks like our big boy (over 7 lbs at that time) will attempt to enter the world through my birth canal. Doctors expect that my fibroid, although large, will 'likely' not interfere with the birth process, so we will have a 'trial of labor.' The news was not reassuring, I am really scared of going through hours or days of labor only to have a c-section b/c of the fibroid they already knew about. But I guess I do understand the doctors trying to avoid an unnecessary surgery. I also know unplanned c-sections happen all the time. It would be nice to have a scheduled birth date, but guess I'll have to leave it up to Baby and God.
Although I am getting to the point where some days I am really fatigued and moody, I still have to reflect that overall I've had a pretty good pregnancy. My biggest worries were my fibroid and the possibility of gestational diabetes. I am blessed to not have other complications. I am proud that I have stayed relatively active and have controlled my weight gain. But what is really important is having a healthy baby...and all I can do is hope and wait...
