Day 4: Total Body
I was wiping the sweat out of my eyes after this workout. This workout was great. There were a lot of new moves. I had to make some modifications, but for the most part I think that i did pretty well. The workout moves pretty fast, which is nice to a point. I think i will like this feature more after i have completed it a couple of times.

Something that i find interesting about myself while doing these workouts is that i really enjoy the balance parts of them. This is odd because I have no balance. I have really weak ankles and that can make balancing a little difficult. However, i think that these workouts may help improve the muscles around my ankles. So that is something that i look forward to. So needless to say, my favorite moves of this workout are the Warrior 3 moves with either the kickback or the curl

Besides the warrior moves, I really like the balance kickback. They do this on the stability ball, but I am not strong enough to do it that way, so i just do the balance kickback on the floor. It’s really challenging and I love it!

Total Body: ~64 minutes long, burnt 577 calories with an average heart rate of 140 and a max HR of 173.

I look forward to doing this again!
Day5: Yoga
I had previewed this workout right after I got the X2 dvds and was still doing P90X. I’m always a little reluctant to do yoga because of my lack of flexibility. P90X yoga was very long and painful. During that yoga I found myself exhausted 30 minutes into the 90 minute video. However, X2 yoga is a lot better. It moves a lot faster and isn’t as redundant as yoga X. Since it moves a lot faster, it got my heart rate up into the 130-140 range which is a nice fat burning zone for me. I look forward to improving with it and its not as daunting as yoga X was to me.

Day 6/7: Balance and Power
For day 6 of P90X2 I was running short on time so i decided to switch my rest day to day 6 and then do the power and balance workout on day 7. It was a pretty intense workout. As i’ve said before, my balance is very poor, but it is getting better.

So far what i can say that i like about the series is the warm ups and the cool downs. They are different from the traditional jog in place and do some stretching. As far as dislikes, i don’t really care for the stability ball, but that really isn’t the programs fault. It is more that i am not strong enough, yet, to do most of the moves on the stability ball and i get frustrated fairly easily when i think that i should be able to do something and it turns out that i can’t. So this is something that i will have to work towards.

Tomorrow is the start of week 2!

Way to go! I love hearing what you think of the program. We did day 2 today. Plyocide. I did great the first half but when all the jumping starts--I start modifying. I was still glad to be able to do so much of it with them. I agree with you that I don't feel like balance is my thing but was surprised how well I did with it on several of the exercises. Keep on keeping on!
