Going beyond what is necessary

Monday, February 13, 2012

Yesterday was a long but good day. I helped create a dinner for our church by making chicken pot pie for 40 people. I really enjoyed making the dinner, and people appreciated the effort. It was my gift to them, and I did it with all my heart.
I find that giving beck to god and to those we love is such a renewing thing. Yesterday I was exhausted, but today, I feel good. I have made a committment to my church family, and loving them by feeding them well is something that I can do. There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuse, only results. What are you committed to? Find a way to show it!
