The Snow Cometh

Monday, February 13, 2012

I got up today and checked the weather forecast and it wasn't good. The birds seem to know these things ahead of time and clued me in anyway. LOL. I got my outdoor chores done early. I had to pack those feeders for my pals.

Baby didn't waste any time getting her food either. She had her little head sticking up while she was laying down in her front yard. She was looking for me and the minute she saw me she stood up and was headed on her path down to her feeding spot as the same time as I was - we were walking parallel to each other, step for step. The crows were really hungry too and wanted Baby's food but she was not sharing. They have the compost pile to eat from. I got the trash burned.

I am totally swamped with stuff to do and keep hoping at some time it will calm down but it never seems to. I had to help hubby again tonight with estate stuff.

It is so sad about Whitney Houston dying. She was a such a major talent. It seems like so many of these extremely talented people are haunted by demons like drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, mental illness, etc.

It started snowing shortly before my husband got off work. It still is snowing. My son called to find out how it was before he started for home at 9:15. The roads were not too bad yet.

Reekie wanted out of his cage all day and finally hubby got him out when he got home. Hubby had to do some work so passed Reekie off to me and of course he wanted his "Daddy". LOL.

We got about 2 inches of snow the other day, and it was cold for 2 days, so the snow stayed, until yesterday when it got up to 40 degrees. I love how this winter has gone so far!

We were delayed today for snow. Kinda liked sleeping in LOL! I'm ready for spring, though. Our winter has been so mild, but I'm ready for green grass and a garden!

I agree with LUVSBULLDOGS- please don't send us any snow. We are having a record winter here in Jersey. Tomorrow is supposed to move back up into the 50's.

"M", I am so with Beth, I thought it was just about over at the end of the year. Is that light at the end of the tunnel any brighter, I sure do hope so for all of your sakes.
We keep missing snow and I am not complaining. It is cold enough for the ski areas to make it and allow us safe passage in the area. HUGS take care Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon
