Keep the chocolate to yourself

I have had to rethink what makes a good Valentine's Day. This is my first Valentine's Day being conscious that I have diabetes. Chocolate and sweets are hurting me. This holiday I will celebrate with a card and with love and joy. I told my husband; "keep the chocolate to yourself.
I can't eat it, and I don't want it. It was a decision that I had to make for my health. I'm glad that I am taking care of myself, and leaving the chocolate alone.
