We just got home from the Church Youth Groups annual "Valentine Banquet". What a crowd! One seating at 5 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m..

It is the Youth Groups annual fund-raising for their yearly Youth Conference somewhere here in the States.

They are dressed in black and white and escort you to your desnated assigned seats. The meal is by candle-light with china and silverware. I ordered grilles chicken breast-baked potatoe-and green beans with roll. Hubby gets steak. Dessert we had cheesecake with cherry pie filling. Since I have gone Sugar Free, hubby had my cheesecake also!

It was packed. Till everyone was finished it was 6:40 and they had to be ready for the next meal at 7:30! So, when we left, the kids were hustling!

We look forward to it each year.

Tomorrow is our regular Sunday. First service, Sunday School and brunch. Then, finish my class lesson for tomorrow night.

Must get to bed.
Have a safe and terrific week-end,

It's not about food but about romance.
Of course food helps with the "specialness" of it all

I remember the valentines dinners at church that I went to with my hubby. So wonderful!! Those were such blessed days. Valentines day is horrible for those of us who are alone!
So glad you had such a nice time!! Enjoy while you can!

Recently my oldest son and I went to a church dinner run by our youth to raise money for them to go to Mexico with the Amor Ministry to build a house for a poor family. The youth served the dinner and we enjoyed it very much! emoticon
