Wasn't really a typical week since we took a trip Thursday-Sunday so I'll do a little photo stuff too. We left Thursday for Colorado as my daughter wanted to celebrate her 10th birthday with Grandma, Auntie Rea and the cousins. We had wonderful weather the whole time we were there...even ran around town in shirt sleeves on Friday! Sunday we prepared for lots of snow coming home, but were blessed with the storms lessening or moving in late so we only had snow packed roads over Soldier Summit in Utah and then wet roads through Salt Lake City before it cleared up again. Could have been a lot worse. Here are some pictures.
This is a shot on the mountain. A later one actually looked more foggy. When we went through there was about 6" accumulated so far and it was still coming down.
Friday afternoon I took Maegann down to Main Street and we walked three blocks each side doing some window shopping. It was such a fun time. So different than when I lived there but I found three stores that were still in business that I recognized.
In front of the Mineral & Bead store. We enjoyed this one very much. Wish I could have afforded some of the jewelry!
This was in the window of a Cheese/Wine/Beer making store. Look closely! I still don't know how they had this water cycling through.
Then I took her out for some ice cream at Dairy Queen on the way back to Grandma's house.
Saturday afternoon was the birthday party.
She chose strawberry cheesecake for the event! It was yummy!
Moving on to the goals I had set....
1. Gym 2x/week. Resistance work on those days mostly and 1x/will be with the trainer. Will continue with the treadmill and my home resistance equipment on the days I am not at the gym.
I went to the gym on Wednesday and Friday. Friday was at my SIL's gym and although I couldn't find as much to do easily (equipment was so different), I got some resistance work done. Other days...walked at home on Tuesday so didn't get quite as much cardio accomplished, but for having a trip in the middle...I'm calling it good.
2. Carbs down to one serving a day and one day carb-free. (The carbs I'm stopping are the "big" ones such as breads, rice, pasta.)
Needs much work! Although I did make good choices for food, carbs were still part of the equation. I must get focused on this...been dragging my feet for two months on this one.
3. Stay within my calorie range. (1600-2010)
I think overall I did well with this, but it was hard to track completely since we had to eat out so much. Back to tracking more thoroughly now that I'm home.
4. Continue working on quitting soda.
Hand me the soda! Had more than I was consuming on the trip. Even had one today at co-op. Must get this one back under control.
5. Lessen the night snacking.
This was really easy on the trip! I should pretend I'm staying at my SIL's every day!
6. Bible reading, devotion & prayer time consistent.
7. Meal planning and weighing and measuring.
