The battle of the last few pounds

I am failing at eliminating after dinner and in between meals snacks for 40 days. So far it seems that I am focusing on that and it is making it even harder. So I have decided to try healthy fat free low cal snacks and see if I can manage the munchies.

This may be the last hurdle and why I cannot shed the last 10 pounds. I am pleased that I have changed the way I eat, I do include more veggies and fruit. I have tried to put more chicken and fish in the diet and even several all veggie meals during the week.

I am also exercising more and trying to spend some quiet time each day to reflect and meditate. Now all I need is to erase the hard drive in my brain that thinks I need to snack and then maybe I can lose that last 10 pounds and maintain a healthy weight .

    I always save some calories for after dinner. Most times I have yogurt or a cup of coffee or tea with almonds because if dinner is at 6:00 and bedtime is 11:00 that is a pretty long stretch without some food. I check my food tracker to see if I will need carbs or fat and let that determine which snack I'll have. If I need carbs I will go with crackers/peanut butter. Seems as if the low calorie snacks should work for you. I envy that you are within 10 pounds of your goal. emoticon
