I Am Good At Injuring Myself

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Hi Spark friends! How is everyone? I haven't been so great.

Isn't that pretty? I am apparently so uncoordinated that I can't even get up off of a couch without tripping and going headfirst into a coffee table. I'm classy like that.

But besides injuring myself in ridiculous ways... (Let's pretend that it isn't true that I STILL don't know how I bruised my foot in January. Or why it's still sore from time to time).

I guess I haven't been up to much besides that! I've still been going to the gym on a regular basis. But I'm sliding a bit back into old habits. I always thought maintaining my weight would be so much easier than losing it. If my weight goes up a bit, I could just cut back and everything would level itself out. Right?

I've found that it's been harder than I thought! I was so careful about what I ate for so long that sometimes I just don't want to pay attention to what I'm eating. Sometimes, I want to be able to just eat and not worry about calories.

I know that I will always have to be careful about my portion sizes, because I have a huge appetite. But if I ever fall off, I know I can hop on the healthy train again. I can do anything. Because I am worth it!

What do you tell yourself when you're lacking motivation?

Ouch! That had to hurt! I am late with this comment, so hopefully all has healed by now! :)
I feel the same way sometimes about tracking calories. It's not that hard to do but for the past few months, I have been "rebelling" and not so careful with eating.
    Hope you're well, Amber!

Wow! Sorry to hear that you've had a rough go... I'm sure you got a few looks and had to retell that story more than once :)
Babies have been my side track and excuse for a long time. Now the excuse seems to be lack of sleep. Regardless of the excuse- staying motivated to keep going is key. I jump back on here and catch up with my buddies... it seems that when I do this- I stay on the healthy track... obviously I need to do this more :)

    Well,could've been worse.
I'm clumsy also-my husband is always nervous when i use sharp knives. emoticon
Maintaining weight loss is so much harder then losing because we have no outside motivation anymore.
People have no comments(or very few) and we can't plan our next goal on the scale.
But some are able to maintain and I have confidence that you can do it!
    Don't give up!

Yeah, I really got myself good! Although it looks more like I burned myself with a curling iron than did a header into a coffee table, lol.
