Mark 9:23 and some baby goat photos

Everything is possible to the one who believes.

When I talk about believing God, I don't mean just believing IN God. I mean BELIEVING God, believing what He says. We can believe IN Christ, accepting the truth that He is the Son of God. We can believe ON Christ, receiving eternal salvation. Yet there may still be times when we fail to stand firmly in our belief, choosing not to find Him trustworthy day to day. (Beth Moore)

Sadly I can find this true in my own life at times. Good reminder for me to really be starting each day on my knees with Him so that I don't let Him get so far out of my reach as I walk through the day.

I have promised several spark friends to post some baby goat photos so here they are. We are going with a Biggest Loser theme for names and the first two are Bobby (Bob) and Maurice (Mo). Maurice was a favorite of our little boys from season one or two I think it was.

This was taken yesterday shortly after they were born. Sally is a good mama!

I love the pictures of the new kids! What breed? They look like they may be @ least part Neubian judging by the long ears; am I right about that? I loved having goats when I was growing up. We have one now that had to be bottle fed when he was born; he still thinks he's a person!! He's getting old, but he loves all my parent's grandkids! He follows them around like a puppy; he even will let the little ones ride on his back! He's a full-blooded Neubian; so he's pretty big--around 150 pounds--you have to be careful b/c he will try and sit in your lap!! emoticon

Love the pictures! We just had a baby goat recently the animals for the children. I read today in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 about how one of the gifts God gives us is faith, and ultimately to edify the body. It caused me to think that we just need to pray, in the faith God has already given, for Him to increase our faith according to His will. He wants to give His children good gifts, and so even our faith is in His trustworthy hand...what a relief! : )

    The verses I mentioned....

"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; TO ANOTHER FAITH by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will."

I think we tend to believe we can handle things on our own (ego) and tend to forget that it's God's job to handle our issues. Once we put our stuff on it, God let us go with it. Then once it gets too far out of hand, we turn to God. We tend to forget to let Him handle it from the beginning.

    Baby goats are so adorable!

Quite a few years ago, my youngest son had a mother goat as his 4H project. She didn't just have twins, she had triplets. The last one almost didn't make it. She had been so squished that one of her legs was drawn up. The vet had to put a cast on it after straightening it out. We bottle fed her since the mother didn't want to accept her at first. Once she grew stronger and was able to get the cast off, we put her in with the others and watched. The mom and her sisters did accept her then. They lived for a long time!
