today the blog thing worked...
I have been to the doctor and the sad part is my leg is just not great, do to a silly sprain but in the past I have broken this leg twice, sprained the ankle several times over the years and tore a muscle too, when I worked in a nursing home when I was younger , way younger , they had cranks to lower or raise the beds, one night I banged in to one of those cranks and did a lot of damage to my calf area and a huge lump formed and I still have it today, I have been to several doctors over the years some who say they are not sure and of course some who say lets remove it.....then I found a good doctor and and he said you have to live with it after so many years it would be dangerous to remove and that was nearly 20 years ago.. it doesn't bother me and that's not the problem now. Today is better, got more sleep and just need to remember I can't do my usual exercise..
any way I am off to do what I can do and stop complaining.....
I feel like every day I have a new ache or pain and I am sick of it....

Warm again today so I am going to enjoy each moment.....

Aches and pains and left over injuries from the past can be a real downer. But do what you can and never hurt yourself. You aren't as old as I am but like me you need to not try to keep up with the 20 year olds. LOL

Hi Kitt, I'm happy that you were able to blog but sorry about the leg thing. I wouldn't want to remove it after 20 years either. Just do what you can and try to be thankful for what you are able to do. I know that is easier said than done. emoticon

Wow, that leg has been through a lot, Kitt. I would definitely baby it this weekend. You can get a great workout sitting in a chair and doing upper body workout. When I was having issues with my feet, I would put in one of Richard Simmons's Sweating workouts. I worked up a good sweat doing that.

Hope you have a great weekend!

    Hugs,

As another suggested maybe today is a good day to work the upper body. I also have some issues with pain. Bad back, shins, shoulder, and not the greatest knees. When I was in the 7th grade we were working out in gym class. I was using the leg press machine. We were showing off trying to top each others heaviest. Well while I was about half way through pushing the pedals down which lifts the weight some punk pulled the pin out of the weights. It went from well over 100 lbs down to 5 lbs. With all the pressure I was applying the pedals slammed down, my feet bounced off and the pedals snapped back into my shins. Had some nice dents in my shins, no idea why they didn't break. Anyway at 43 years old now they still give me problems if I push too hard.

So I feel your frustrations. Sometimes it is hard to find ways to work around the pain and discomfort. Hope you enjoy the day it is nice out there, just hope the wind stays calm.

Kitt, so glad the browser is behaving for you now. I didn't find anything in my settings last night to suggest, so not sure what the issue is.

Very sorry to hear about your aches and pains. I have similar issues, old injuries from the past catching up with me. We do have to listen to our bodies and make adjustments as necessary. It's hard to do when you've been working out as much as you have, yet it's something we have to learn. Getting old is heck, isn't it...

Hugs to ya from this old lady. emoticon

    So sorry!

Maybe you can get in some upper body strength training? Would be better than nothing.

Your pluck and courage inspires me.

emoticon I know how you feel when you have a lot of aches and pains and you don't know the reason for it. I have been having abdominal pains and so far they can't find anything wrong. I had a CT Scan last Friday and in a way I am hoping they find something. I will pray that you find relief soon, but until then just keep trying to exercise in small amounts because you don't want to hurt yourself more. Have a blessed day! emoticon

It's hard to live with pain like that -- I hope you find some relief soon.
