Change of Plans[Input Needed]

I was going to do P90X this Sunday on April 1st, buuuuuuuuuuuut I think I'm going to change it to Insanity. I've been reading up on the benefits of doing natural body exercises as opposed to weight lifting. I think it would be better for my body to burn off the initial fat and gain strength by doing au naturelle exercises via Insanity. Then when my 60 days, or however long that program is, are up then I will build macho strength (and maintain health) by doing P90X. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

That being said I have to admit I am nervous about eating wise. I mean sure yes I will lose weight if I literally commit each day to doing Insanity and exercising and all that good hoo-hah. But I want ABS, I wanna be RIPPED, I wanna be buff girl wonder! (But still beautiful and curvy and feminine and all that good stuff). But I'm afraid I will literally have to eat a restrictive diet of NO BAD FOOD EVER AGAIN WHATSOEVER RAWRRRRR to get such abs. I mean there's some health guru know-it-alls here on Sparkpeople, so you tell me. How restrictive am I going to have to be on my diet, i.e. cutting out carbs and such (like bread, and sweets and blahblah) am I going to have to be in order to get some good ole abs? (And yes I do know NOW that getting healthy and getting abs take time.)

Soooooooooo ya Insanity here I come. I am going to do the 'fit test' today when I get off work, so here goes. I want to be healthy, I want to be strong, and I guess I want to be green, because this is the only fit bikini chick on the emoticons I have, lololol. emoticon So here's to becoming the She-Hulk! Bwahahhaa.

    Getting the abs takes two things. One is a nutritious enough diet to allow your body to do all the needed repairs to those muscles as you work them, feed your muscles energy when they need it, and maintain everything else at the same time. The other is burning off any excess fat which will otherwise sit over those muscles and prevent them having the definition you would like to see.

    Well, okay, three things. Third is actually working them enough to develop the muscle.

    The key thing is that you can do the first and third - eat well and work the muscles at the same time as you're burning the excess fat. You don't have to wait until they'll show, because they will be developing and toning long before you see them distinctly. (And you'll be able to feel them - something I find exciting.)

    The less "bad food" the better, obviously, but the point isn't to make it restrictive. It's about a huge desire and craving for a prime body and to build that takes prime nutrition. Let yourself build up to that point rather than worrying about it now. (For a body-builder, the equation is more about "if I eat this ____ now, I'd have to do ## minutes more cardio to burn it off than I'm already doing AND I won't be able to eat as much ____ which would help me build my physique better." It's not about "I can't eat ____.")

    one day at a time . one meal at a time . that`s the way to do this . You can not think i can never have ..... what===ever . again. that will not work . if you eliminate any thing it will on your mind constantly . haunting you every second . good luck i wish you great happiness and success . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
