I'm not really sure what to write here, so bear with me...

I've given myself a year to lose 92lbs (1st April 2012 to 1st April 2013). That works out about 8lbs a month. Sounds easy enough, right?

Wrong. I suffer from M.E. (CFS) and fibromyalgia. Sometimes getting out of bed is hard enough, so going out for a 10 mile run is the last thing I could do.

But this time I am DETERMINED that I will do it, I will get fit, I will lose weight. I will be the hottie I used to be!!!

    Really nice to find all the support from other members! Once I'm more familiar with everything, I promise you all the same level of support too!

    I really understand what people mean by the trackers. Last night I was feeling really odd and weak, and then this morning looking back at what I ate yesterday it's no surprise - throughout the whole day I only ate 1/3 of what I should have been! Whoops!!!

    Nice first blog! 8lbs is so doable with the right lifestyle changes. Remember, start off slow so you don't burn yourself out.

    Welcome Kimmy!

    I understand you have a lot of medical issues and some things you want to work through. This is absolutely the BEST place to do that. Everyone here is sooo supportive and there's a lot of great information that gets passed around. Honestly, I don't think I could have gotten this far without SP.

    My advice is to utilize as many of the tools as possible...especially the Trackers. When I first started I had this warped idea that food was not my problem, that I just needed to get up off my butt and exercise. But one week of tracking my food put that theory to rest!

    Also, try to remember that this is a long journey that will have a life-changing result. Don't get discouraged (as we ALL have from time to time) when the scale doesn't move or it moves in the wrong direction sometimes. It happens. We are all learning a completely new way of living, and that is going to take some experimentations and some slipups.

    I've added you as a friend (hope that's OK). Feel free to do the same, if you wish. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you just need to vent. That's what we're all here for...moral and emotional support.

    CONGRATULATIONS on your 1st blog!

    You did very well.

    Why don't you try weekly or monthly goals...I will do exercise for 10 minutes, 3 times a day. I will eat an extra fruit/vegetable each day, etc. That way it doesn't seem so overwhelming for you and you could increase your exercise time and food modification gradually.
    This is a suggestion to help you along the way.
