I'm still here

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Today I jumped on the scale and it read 168 pounds, well I was fully clothed with a sweater and heavy knit pants, but it depressed me for a minute... emoticon.

Then I come into work and walk by a co-worker who says "hey you're looking tiny, are you still losing weight? (we were in w.w. together) I said "no, still maintaining."
At that point I realized the change in the scale has to be muscle. I fit my clothes the same, actually bought a smaller size( six ) last month.
So, all is good, I am not gaining fat, but muscle. My hard work in the gym is making a difference.
YES!!

Girl, I hate the scale--I can still wear my clothes, it says 12 lbs over goal--working to get it off, a lb at a time if I have to!

Stay motivated because that scale can be tricky sometimes. I do measurements and the scale to keep me on track and focused. You can be losing inches, but it not show on the scale. But I wouldn't remove myself from weighing because that's a good barometer of those pounds that creep up on you, and before you know it. . .you're on a downward spiral.
