I am now in week 5 of the C25K program and am thrilled to say that I have made it this far. I have attempted to do this program in the past, but have given up too easily, and when it got hard just stopped trying. Yesterday I did the week 5 day 1 workout. It wasn't easy, but I got through it and it felt great when I was done. These old bones and muscles don't care much for it about 2 hours post workout, but the next day they seem to say let's do it again!
Today is haircut day, so no lunch time walk. It's also granddaughter day so no long walk after work. If it's nice outside though, we will get out for a walk, it just won't be a power walk! The park is about 2 miles away, so we'll shoot for a walk to the park this afternoon!
I am wearing my bodymedia fit armband and am learning a lot about my exercise and sleep habits. I've only worn it for 3 days, but the results are pretty interesting. Today will be interesting because it will be the first day of no really long and intense work outs.
Once I get the workout stuff down, I need to make sure I am focusing on the healthy eating. I seem to do well with that until after dinner and then it seems like all bets are off. I threw out all of the Easter candy, but found cookies last night. Today those will go out too. They will actually go to my son's house.
Back to reality temperature wise today, yesterday it was 87 degrees, today we'll be lucky to hit 50. As long as it doesn't rain during our "outside" time, the temperature doesn't really matter!
