A is for ABOVE and BEYOND...Does competition push you? Yes, I think it does - even competition with myself.
B is for BLC rounds... Newbie?(first BLC round) Oldie?(1-3 rounds) Goldie?(long time BLCer)? Former BLC team(s)? Eeep - Goldie! This is my 5th round, and I've been a Pixie for all but my first round, when I was a Warrior. I love the BLC!
C is for CHILDREN...you have? Nada
D is for DOWNFALL...what's your biggest temptation? I would have to say mob eating is a huge downfall for me. And chips. Sigh. Chips and I are star-crossed lovers. Actually, it is more of a one-sided relationship.
E is for EXCUSE...what is your most famous? How can we help you overcome it? "I can't lose weight - I'll be stuck here forever" Feel free to remind me that being stuck is better than gaining!
F is for FURRY FRIENDS...you have? No, but summer is coming, and my apartment gets quite humid sometimes - oh, not those kinds of furry friends?
G is for GROCERIES...what do you fill your cart with? Meat, freggies, dairy, miso, sashimi
H is for HOME...what state do you call home? Two places, really. Hokkaido, Japan is the state (prefecture) I currently call home, but Mississippi is my home in the good old USA.
I is for INSPIRE...who or what is your roll model/inspiration? Gosh, that's hard. So many Pixies inspire me everyday. Sometimes, random people in the gym inspire me.
J is for JOB...What do you do for a living? I'm an ALT (assistant language teacher) with the JET Programme in Japan. I travel around the subprefecture and visit ongoing English classes to give the students a taste of native English and American culture.
K is for KEEP IT SIMPLE...What's your focus when short on time? Squish in some exercise - maybe a quick DVD, make good food decisions
L is for LOG...Do you use the Nutrition and Fitness trackers? I did a 4 week challenge of using the nutrition trackers, and I think it helped me. I think I'm going to try another streak. I love using the fitness trackers.
M is for MOTIVATION...Which gives you more, Mirror or Scale? Scale. The mirror is a big liar.
N is for NAME...What's the meaning behind your sparkname? Heh...it's pretty basic. I'm Elizabeth and I live in Japan. Sometimes I think about changing it.
O is for OUNCES...How many ounces of water do you consume on a daily basis? Lately, 16-24 (I know, I know). I was just thinking about water last night and wondering if it would help me look slimmer (I saw some photos).
P is for PRODUCE...How many fruits and veggies do you consume daily? 1-5 - more now that spring is coming!
Q is for QUOTE...what's your favorite? I have two at the moment:
"There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind." - CS Lewis
"No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch"
R is for ROUTINE...Average number of days and minutes you exercise weekly? I try to run 30 minutes 4 times a week, and I hit the gym whenever I can. I'm thinking about DOING (started writing "trying") the 12 Week Streak this round. Gulp.
S is for STATUS...Married, Single, Involved, Other? Single
T is for TIME...What time zone are you in? Japan Standard Time - just add 13 hours to EST. So, you will see me posting and and weighing in at weird times.
U is for UNWIND...What is your favorite pass time or hobby? Running, biking, reading, writing, and hanging out in coffee shops
V is for VACATION...If you could travel anywhere, what destination would you choose? I've always dreamed of going to Europe. I'd love to go with my two best friends from back home, who I miss dearly.
W is for WEIGHT WORKOUT...Do you follow a consistent ST program? Yes, my gym created a st plan for me that I try to do 3x/week. I just graduated to some higher reps and weights. I'm a very squishy person.
X is for "X" MARKS THE SPOT...What do you want to see happen these 12 weeks, other than the scale move? I'm looking forward to running in my first 5K in June - I hope to be able to run it in under 35:00 (because that is the cutoff time). I would like to see some definition appear in my arms, and at the end of the round, I would like to know that I've done my best.
Y is for YESTERDAY...Do you dwell on poor choices or allow them to push you forward? I dwell on poor choices...I'd like to stop that!
Z is for ZERO...name one weight loss tool you couldn't live without? Just one? Awwwwww! Well, the one I can't live without is kind of embarrassing to mention on a blog. But it is very necessary for running. And I love running!
