Busy Weekend

Monday, April 23, 2012

Almost finished putting in the veggie garden. DD had the motivation to get it accomplished and even though it was 88+ degrees I took advantage of that motivation.

This is the pre-wilted look before the heat took over and we were fairly dehydrated.

On Saturday we had a stray beagle in our pasture so we got the sweet little guy to come to us so we could leash him up and work at finding his owners. No success so we found him a great home off Craigslist. They are even willing to give him back if someone shows up at some point. We called him Pup. The bassets were exhausted trying to keep up with him.

Today after co-op (We are done for the year!) I set up the slip-n-slide so the kids could cool off after our second day in the 90's. Too hot for April around here.

And on the Spark Journey front.... my food intake and exercise have been GREAT!

The stray dog we had totally wore out our bassets too! How funny that we had strays about the same time! Piper was not amused with him though. She doesn't like sharing her human (my hubby) with anyone!

We are barely starting on my garden. I have got to get some work done on it this weekend.

I'm glad you were able to find a good home for that little pup. Thanks for the picture too!
