Recovery?

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

The MRSA on my elbow is doing a lot better but I have a bad one on my leg now. All in all I have had 7 - one in my right axilla, one in my left groin, one on the back of my left thigh, one on my left buttock, one on my right cheek, one on my left eyebrow, one on my left elbow. I'm having some respiratory problems with it too - asthma and wheezing. I look like Igor.

Tuesday I had such bad G.I problems that I thought I would explode. I have no idea what brought it on. Most likely the MRSA as have problems eating - abdominal distention.

Baby has a doghouse!! It's in her front yard by a bush. I am so happy for her. I have not seen her in it but it's the idea that she has one if she wants to use it. I'm doing the Snoopy dance!!

We are dealing with more estate stuff as usual. Hubby worked for almost 5 hours tonight.

Hubby and I had to cover the plants again for 2 nights due to low temps in the mid 30s with scattered frost. Today I took the transplants back outside as it was 81. And I uncovered everything. I hope this is over soon.

We have been going on walks every day. I have actually been getting my 15,000 plus steps in again on most days this week but am still eating terrible. I think I at least feel a little better.

I hope you do feel better soon.
I hate being sick and this year it has been more than most years.
The weather doesn't help much either.

Yeah you deserve high praise for still committing when you obviously are NOT well. I think though its certainly better for you to exercise than to not. Hope you are better soon. emoticon emoticon

Ow, ow, OW! That sounds very painful. Walk while you can, Tish, but I hope that you're resting extra as well, to boost your immune system. When do you go back to the doctor?

We are making tomato cages out of 4x2 inch welded wire, then we'll cover them with plastic. We have another full month until frost danger is over here. Also, tomatoes don't set fruit if it's under 50 degrees, so I cover them a lot of nights. I don't know about peppers and such, but my neighbors would tell me if I ask.

Hope the MRSA clears up quickly. It's so nasty.

Oh, what a misery! This sounds like a worse attack than ever. It must be because you're so worn out. I really hope you're on the mend. Walking can only help.

Great to hear that Baby has somebody in her own family caring as much for her as you do!

This MRSA has been an ugly thing for you to deal with (and I don't mean how you look). I hope it all clears up soon---sounds like you've had quite a bout of it!! So glad to hear Baby got a house!!!! Finally!! Good for Baby!! Is the estate stuff getting to an end??? Even close?? I can't imagine still working on that! Glad you're still getting your walking in. That is good for you and for your soul. My eating and walking slipped last week as my sister in law was here from CA and we had a number of family "events". Need to get back in the groove now! Thinking of you!!

"M", I hope you are getting better by now. You must have had this for a long time now. I am so sorry. We know at least one health care worker who suffered with MRSA, she has moved away and I have lost contact with her. She was in the military, her first husband was too and died very young after Agent Orange. She remarried I made her gown and his shirt from the same fabric, their choice. They moved away and I have never heard from her since. I wish I could find her but her husbands name was impossible to spell. I miss her. HUGS I hope you are over this episode soon and you can enjoy yourself and your yard so much more. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon BGF.

Please, please, please take care of yourself! I know from what my daughter has told me that runnning yourself down will only aggravate the MRSA, your immune system is trying so hard to fight the infections and if you let yourself get too tired it will only get worse, not better. I am so happy that you were able to get a walk in, they can be so life renewing at times, time to just look around you, breathe in the good air and rejoice being alive! Try to get as much rest as you can, it's not a "lazy" thing, it is a life saving thing! I say a prayer for you every day!

Continuing prayers and positive thoughts for you although I wish there was something more I could do to help you. Do you have Celiac Disease also where you can't eat anything with gluten in it? I know just a little bit of wheat or flour (anything with gluten in it) will send my system into a real explosive situation.
Keep up your great walking as you enjoy them with your DH and we should all do things we enjoy. Have a great rest of the week!!!
