Last night was a scream. The weather radio was going bonkers. LOL. Deedle, deedle, deedle, deedle, deedle, deedle, deedle..............(oh come on, get on with it)...............deedle, deedle, deedle...............the National Weather Service has issued a........blah, blah, blah. We could not get any sleep. Eventually about the time it stopped my hubby had heartburn and could not sleep so we were sleepless in Texico. We didn't get much rain really. My transplants were still dry this morning and the hail didn't hit here.

It was another hot day. I got up late and slung together a simple breakfast, no lunch. I had to get a bill ready, balance my checkbook, make a grocery list and head out to do shopping and errands. I got a late start. I went to the post office, newspaper office, bank, lawyer's office, KMart, Aldi, Kroger, and Wal-mart. I didn't get home until after 2 and had to put it all away and start supper.

Hubby and I went for a walk. We saw Baby by her dog house. She looked like she felt good today. The neighbor's cat is on a killing rampage again. There is evidence of a dead bunny and dove in the yard. We saw some deer on our walk. I made a turtle rescue today and saw 2 dead ones on the road. Grrr. We worked in the garage some this evening straightening it up.

Glad you did not get the storm & hail damage. How are the 7 spots of MRSA? Speaking of Baby & doghouse, did you ever learn what happened to the neighbor's dog that went missing? You said you thought you'd probably come upon the remains sooner or later while stomping around in the woods.

Yep, carb creep and calorie creep is seductive, and we will have to stay forever vigilant. But with 12.5K per day, you should be doing so well.

I wondered how you did with the storms. So sad about the death in St. Louis plus the injuries.

It is that time of year. My weather radio needs to be reprogrammed so that is first on the agenda for tomorrow.

Hope all is well with you.

You are always so busy but glad you still had time to walk with hubby. Hopefully you are getting some sleep now and are feeling better. Our weather has been crazy but definitely not warm!

It started raining last night and then turned into a rain-snow mix with supposedly (according to Environment Canada) freezing rain of course my boss had me running all over this morning getting parts from suppliers. Great. At least I got away for half a day.

Low 40's, windy and a crazy day here. One minute blue skies and sun, the next minute clouds with rain. A long day at work broken up by a dentist appointment (yuk). Glad the storms passed around you. Carol

We had frost last night, no damage. I finished making tomato cages today, cut 3 in half for eggplant, peppers and blueberry bushes. The rabbits are eating the blueberry bushes, so it for protection. Dh helped me set them, they are too tall, so I need to put them down 8 inches. If we have frost again, I'll cover them with garbage bags. Glad to be done with that.

    Glad Baby feels better.

We are getting heavy rain alternating with very high winds/ Temps are not warm enough for me but DH like sit to be cool. OPPOSITES do attract after all.
The rain was over 4 inches in the first storm yet it was dried up by the winds and the whole of last night poured with rain and again the high winds and some sun we are dry again. I wanted o go to see the Rhododendron garden but between the rain and wind I doubt there are any blossoms left. HUGS pat in Maine. I hope you are getting better from your MRSA Bout, I hope it has gone. emoticon emoticon emoticon

We have had 2 rainstorms lately this past week. Nothing serious happened, just a lot of wind and rain.
I'm glad you are safe and sound!

Yeah, our storms here in east Tennessee are very unpredicatable. The weather station can send emergency signals bleeting all day and all night, with no results. Yet we were woken night before night at 3 am with hail and heavy rain pinging against the metal chimney cap, huge rolling waves of rolling thunder, and enough lightning to make a shadow. The prediction for that night was "slight chance of drizzle."

    Go figure.

It rained here last night (Thursday) - hard. I lost a pepper because of it. It really shouldn't have been outside in the first place but with all this warm weather, I couldn't resist. I'm paying for it!! Tonight there is a freeze warning.

When will I ever learn to wait until the proper time to plant.

I put my weather radio in the garage so I could sleep!

Heck, when I see a turtle in the road, I not only avoid it, I stop the car, go pick it up (carefully emoticon ) and place it where it seemed to want to go.

Of course Baby's feelin' good. Every girl needs her own house!

Wish we had some warmer weather here. It's been cool with some off and on rain. We really need the rain but I'm over the cool weather. March was much warmer than April! What's up with that??? Killer cat on the loose? Be careful on your walks! ;) What's up with running over a turtle? Can they not see it on the road???? What's up with people? I agree: GRRRRR! Hope you are feeling better.

"Sleepless in Texico" I've always felt like I was in familiar territory when I read your blogs. My mother's family is from Centralia, I've been to your corner of the world many times!!

(So that's 2 connections now - I love telling people about the awesome orange-spice tea from the Attic Bookshop and how I came to know about it.)
