30 Day Shred started yesterday

So yesterday my Amazon package arrived, and with it the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd. So of course I was excited to get home, get the kids to bed and throw the dvd in. Let me tell you... that workout kicked my butt something hard. Now I know I'm not in the greatest shape, but I at least thought I was starting to be in somewhat decent shape. My goodness, was I wrong!
So I did the Level 1 yesterday... I managed to keep up with the video for the most part. She only allows you 5 second breaks between, so I was a little behind in attempts to gulp down some water between exercises... but for a first attempt, I think I did pretty good. I was panting. I was sweating. I was ready to quit. But I kept at it for the whole 25 minutes or so.
And this morning I HURT! ooooh boy do I hurt! But in some sick, weird way... I'm happy about it. I know that I finally did a workout that made me WORK instead of the half-hearted workouts that I thought I was doing awesome in.
I'm really hoping to keep up with this one. At least 3 days/week... more if I can handle it. I liked the schedule that my EA Active program had for their 30 day challenge.. 2 days exercise + 1 day rest... I think I might try to maintain that schedule as best as I can while doing the Shred.
Oh and I am SO happy I've already got a massage scheduled for next weekend. It looks like I'm really going to need it!
