Changing goals

I have decided that my current goal (to walk every day for 30 minutes) is a little unrealistic. After all, I haven't met it ONCE since setting it.

I have figured out that:

1. I work in a busy grocery store deli, so on the days that I work an 8 hour or more shift, I AM WALKING THE WHOLE TIME! So on those days, when my feet and legs are hurting so bad from being on them all day, it is okay to skip my walk for that day!

2. On my days off, or when I am only scheduled to work 4-5 hours, That is when I will get out of the house and go for a walk.

I am hoping that as the weight continues to drop, it will be less painful, and I'll be able to walk AND work, but for now, my goal is to get out of the house and go for a walk 4 days a week. This should be a little easier for me to meet for now. Eventually, I'll raise it back to every day!

    I use the map router on here, so I know that each time I walk, it is 1.92 miles. Today, I added a little bit more distance to it, so from now on, it will be 2.68 miles, and it's all hills, which means more of a workout, but even harder on the feet and legs!

    A very sensible conclusion!

    You could get yourself an inexpensive pedometer and even see just how much walking you're doing every day.
