Whirl Wind of 3 Days

Left for my conference early Sunday morning and stopped at a dear friends house for the day. She was my next door neighbor until recently when she moved to Maryland. We had a wonderful day, but now I know she is also quite a bad eating influence. Putting on her "nurse" she continued to tell me that my weight is at the body breaking point and if I lose more weight I will be sick. My endo said my weight is perfect. Her comment were made when we were ordering and eating lunch and dinner. Mine didn't waiver from food plan. Her's would have put me into the hospital for elevated sugar (lol). Love her to death! We did a lot of walking which was ok because the doctor released me to walk (no other exercise). Walking was not for exercise - it was for shopping!
On Saturday I received a ticket in the mail for my accident which required me to make a court appearance on Thursday. I will not even be in NJ! Called the court 1st thing Monday morning only to be told it was too late to reschedule. Court clerk advised me to not go and wait for the failure to appear letter. AHHH! Finally after some cajoling she agreed to reschedule. I felt a bit comforted because she told me that when an injury is involved a ticket and court appearance is mandatory. However, just writing about this has made me anxious again.
Monday food was on plan, although it was extremely expensive. I felt like they were holding a gun to my head when they gave me the prices (haha). Increased my calories a bit as the Nurse Practioner had recommended. Will be sure I remain at a stable weight on the higher calories.
The intensive training classes yesterday and today were excellent. We finished a 5 pm. A long day with few breaks. Today I was off my normal eating plan a bit, but nothing to affect my sugar levels. There is still dinner and tonight's festivities to go. It is an important skill that I am still honing to be able to adjust foods to fit available foods and schedules. The hotel is directly across from Camden Yards Ball Park. Tonight there is a conference trip across the street to watch the Orioles play the Boston Red Sox. Sorry Baltimore fans, I'm routing for the Red Sox.
Off to the Trade Show reception, dinner and the ball game! So little time I've barely been able to read your wonderful blogs and posts, not really been able to comment. Hope all is well by you and that you are having Spark-ling days! Carol
