Cold Germ Flash Mob
Wednesday, May 23, 2012
So, last night, I'm sitting around reading Fifty Shade of Grey (not my style of book for writing quality, but I decided to read it since Pure Romance is having a product release in honor of the book. I need to know what it's about so I can sell it! I'm more of a classic book type fan, not really a pop book fan.) Anyway, I'm reading my book and I notice a little tickle in my throat. Not even two chapters into the book and my shoulders and neck ache, my throat really hurts, my nose is stuffed up and my forehead feels "full." Man, I realized I was the chosen location for a cold germ flash mob! Now, I love a good flash mob. Improv Everywhere has some great videos where they've done flash mobs in grocery stores and mall food courts. It's pretty awesome to see and I'd love to see one live, but the problem is, unless you're involved you just don't know it's going to happen! This cold germ flash mob really isn't the type of group I want hanging around. The writing in Fifty Shades of Grey is amateurish and hard to read in the unvarying sentence structure of first person the author uses (when I say hard to read, I don't mean hard to comprehend, but hard to endure), so I really don't need my thought processes clouded any more!
I took some Ny-Quil last night and pulled the blankets up tight over my neck in hopes I could get an amazing night's sleep and kick this flash mob to the curb! But no, I woke up and I'm still achey, clouded, have a sore throat and stuffy nose. So, today's battle will be more with the beating this cold! My daughter has her rehearsal for her dance recital tonight. I was going to take her, but now I think I'm going to send her dad and I'll stay home with her little sister. I have a Pure Romance trade to make anyway, and I think I can manage that without exposing anyone to this crud.
Ok, wish me luck! Let's hope this healthy eating and increased water will help me take out the flash mob and get better! I have a wedding to go to this weekend! I can't be sick!!!
