Well, I have not had any more results with weight loss. I gave up for a while in a way. I quit working out regularly and for what? Because I saw that even with what I was doing, the scale did not move. That is a huge problem. I need to ignore what the scale says and keep progressing. Today I am for the first time going to try pilates. I usually do either ten minute trainer or Coach Nicole's workouts, but due to a rough month long respiratory illness I am starting slow.
This is progress though. I am not going to continue to be negative. I am looking forward to the new me. Not the me at my goal weight of 133. Me here and now. I have to love myself before I can succeed in my journey.

I agree with what SherryNH posted. Looking good and weighing less is a nice benefit from taking good care of yourself by eating well and exercising. Feeling good about yourself because you feel well is a wonderful thing!

It's taken me some time to do it, but I have been pretty good at making myself look at the numbers on the scale with simple curiosity. When the number isn't what I hoped, I just think 'huh - interesting'. Then I try to think of the variety of things I did since my last weigh-in that are improving me in general. Maybe think about weighing-in less and using something different to chart your progress?

    Rooting for you!

Starting slow - what a wise decision ! I think it really increases your chances of success. I have done fairly well eating healthy but I am still searching for that exercise that I can enjoy. I think the answer to that for me might just be lots of variety and giving myself credit for even just 10 minutes of physical activity that ups my heart rate or increases my strength and endurance ( though I should strive as often as possible for more ). If I know I am genuinely trying I am progressing whether the scales or anyone else notices.
Best of luck to you !

Ah...truer words never said. I find the scale is my enemy. I went to a health coach at work, and she said something that struck home. She said..."you are striving to be healthy. Eating healthy, exercising and taking care of yourself. The "side effect" of all of that is maybe losing a few pounds. So taking her words in stride, she is right. I am back on a new journey here, but in the short time I have started to take care of ME, I am feeling physically better, and mentally great! Don't get down on the scale they are numbers. :)
