Well, this is SUPPOSED to be a food blog. I'm going to be completely honest. I did not eat well yesterday.
It all started in the morning. I was out of eggs.
I am lost when this happens. I realized later in the day that I had everything to make a good for me super yummy protein smoothie, but I didn't think of it. I had a Kellog's fiber plus bar for breakfast. That was probably the best thing I ate all day.
My husband was off yesterday, so that means in our household that we go go go! We only have one car, so his days off are the only time we can get anything done outside of the house. And this sometimes involves eating out. You know-in those fancy places that give you food through a window in a record amount of time.
1st stop-Hardee's. I said I didn't want anything. I didn't get anything. We got my daughter a chicken finger kid's meal. She didn't want the chicken. I hate wasting food. You get the picture. At least I only ate one chicken finger.
We were on our way. After a good walk through IKEA, I was starving. Where did we go next? McDonald's. I ended up getting a grilled honey mustard chicken wrap. It was better than what I could have done.
By the time we got everything done, and I got the kid's to sleep, we were pretty hungry. I was going to make scrambled eggs. But it seemed so much easier to order Pizza Hut. I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say that there was chicken alfredo and some new buffalo chicken individual pizza-thing involved. It wasn't pretty.
It was about the time we were at McDonald's that I looked at my husband and said, "I am totally lying about my food blog for today." I don't do this everyday. It's not every time the hubs has a day off, either. I'm not proud of it, but it does happen. So, why lie. It happened. It's done.
Today is a new day. I have eggs again.
