Recovery

Wednesday, June 06, 2012

On Friday June 1, I had carpel tunnel surgery on the right hand.
The surgery was quick and went very well.
I was in at 8:30 , released at 11:00.
Spent the weekend recovering at my BF's.
Am able to do almost everything I normaly do. What I miss is going to the gym, doing my workouts. I have been walking, doing my daily pilates and Zumba to keep me active.
If I am not doing some form of exercise I feel like a slug. Can almost feel the pounds creep back on.
Titan and I have been getting in some great walks. Increased our time for a mile.
My little guy has little short legs but he can really move for a small dog.
Friday is my youngest grandson's high school graduation. It's going to be outside, like South Salem's always is. But rain is forecast, so I am praying that the weather people are wrong.
The last time I was at a grandsons graduation it was 2010, I was 275 pounds. I could barely pull myself up the stairs into the bleacher seats. This year I can run up the stairs. I just might do that. Smile!!
I want to thank all my friends who sent me good well wishes, they worked, I am having a wonderful recovery.
Thought for today."I am grateful for the healing powers I receive from those who love me. With them, I'm equal to any task I choose to undertake."
Take care, stay positive.
Peace and Love,
Tisha

Walking is great, especially during recovery. You can do this. You are NOT a slug!

It's great to see you doing so well.

I can picture little Titan's leg's flying. Terriers love to run!

I hope the graduation went well with no rain. Here it seldom rains any more.

    Speedy recovery!!

I'm glad you are recovering quickly, and hope the surgery solves all your current problems. You could always carry Titan if you hand will let you - maybe make him a papoose rig. I find that carrying even a 15 pound dog for a mile or so gets tiring, but sometimes they run out of steam when you're a long way from home.

I'm really glad to hear the worse of it is over and I know as soon as possible you will jump right back into that pool and gym. Go on and Jump onto the bleachers at your Grandson's graduation and it must feel so good to be so fit. Continue to recover well. Have a wonderful week.

    Hugs,

Hi Tisha, I am happy to hear that your recovery is moving along well. I know little Titan contributes to that too. My only grandson graduates Friday the 15th too except we are inside. It will be a great day! I know you will look to finishing your upcoming surgeries and continue on your healthy journey! emoticon emoticon
