No Hydro for 2 Hours...

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Hi All,

I was in the middle of sparking when my computer went off, we lost all power here in my area for over 2 hours...wow, that has to be a first in a long time...There was not much I could get done other than my reading, I sat near my open window where there was enough light.

It's amazing how much one relies on power, makes you realize how much we do these days that requires power. Everytime I thought about doing something I realized it required hydro that produces the electricity that one needs to run the washer, elevator in my building etc..Needless to say no laundry done today, I won't attempt it today as everyone else will be trying to accomplish that task, and besides this gal doesn't want to be stuck in a stopped elevator with no power and no lights.

This experience reminded me how my forefathers lived, wow, they sure had a hard life relying on oil lamps, washing with a wash board never mind cooking in an open fire, now that one I could do as I camped a lot of years gaining much experience cooking on an open fire, but really, do I want to re-live those days now?? I don't think so LOL.

So here it's now 3 in the afternoon with mega things to do, can do some things but what I really wanted to get done is not happening until tomorrow. {sigh}

I will check my e-mails, spark, get the rest of my exercise in now I can follow my tape and finish up with what I can do today, then this gal will have a quieter evening...

If you don't see me around for a while it could mean we are back to square one again, here's hoping our power stays on now..Enjoy the remainder of your day..

Blessings & HUGS...

    Glad that you were able to cope with the situation. Sometimes we have to adapt to God's plans. Let me redo that and say All the time we NEED to adapt to God's plan. I love the fact that you didn't vent or rage just quietly accepted. Thank you for your good manners. I'm sure you will have a grand day today.

    It's amazing how our plans for the day can be changed - especially by something so out of our control!

    And - how amazing it is that we become so reliant on electricity!

    Trusting that things get done as needed... in God's perfect timing!
