Mexican Food

I am so worried about going out to mexican food tonite. Recently we started to go out on Thursday nites. Well, two times so far. It's important to my husband to meet with these friends. I really like them too. Last week I found the perfect thing on the menu, terriyaki grilled chicken. Usually that is the restaurant they go to. Tonite it's Mexican Food at a different restaurant. OMG. A billion six calories in mexican food. I really don't like to go out to dinner and never have. I almost always gain. Even when I'm careful. Sure it's temporary, if I am good. But it will still take four days to get rid of the 2 pounds. I have a weigh in Saturday for my 5% challenge team. So in research, I found chicken fajitas, with extra vegetables and less chicken. Or I was thinking taco salad, no shell, no sour cream (bring my 0 fat from home) no cheese. Oh please please, let me be really really good.

    I had an unexpected Mexican dinner tonight when my sister invited me and my husband to go to a Mexican restaurant in appreciation for taking her car shopping all day today after her car was totaled a week ago. Fortunately we were so busy shopping that I only had an Atkins bar for lunch and a very low calorie breakfast leaving space in every category on my nutrition chart. I filled it all in and followed with a fruit snack before bed.

    Looking ahead and making a plan seems to be what works best and I love that you have found some options for these Thursday outtings. I don't think we can live life like there will never be Mexican food again (otherwise, sorry, but I am outta here and off this wagon!). Allow yourself a sensible splurge and ENJOY it! Also, remember that our bodies recognize stress. So NO stressing!
